Hello, my name is Steve Jones a keen landscape photographer living in the North East of England.
I also have a passion for hiking, whether I go up the hills and mountains or along the coast, it always feel good for the soul to connect with nature.
I’m lucky to have Northumberland and the Lake District within easy reach to enjoy. The lake district with its hills, mountains, glacial valleys and lakes is truly awe-inspiring for a landscape photographer.
Northumberland has in my opinion the best coastline in the country with its miles of golden beaches, Castles, cliffs and small fishing ports. Inland the Northumberland countryside is no less impressive encompassing Hadrians Wall the Cheviot hills and much more.
Combining my two passions brings me the most pleasure, each enhancing the other. I’ve found photographing landscapes encourages you to notice more in the scene as you endeavour to capture in a photograph the beautiful natural world in front of you.
In producing this website to show my photographic journey through the landscape, I hope it can in some small way inspire people to get out in the countryside to capture their own images.
